DEPUTY HEAD AND DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD
Will joined Great Walstead in 2019 after leading Teaching and Learning and Maths at another local Prep School. Energetic, approachable and community-minded, he thrives on school life and the buzz of a community that learns and grows together.
Community and connection first
Will believes Great Walstead’s magic lies in its warmth. Pupils greet staff with smiles, show genuine kindness and support one another. He loves whole-school events such as Walstock, Sports Day and the Christmas Bazaar which bring everyone together in celebration.
A life full of sport and rhythm
Outside school, Will can be found captaining his cricket team, running, playing golf or cheering on Brighton and Hove Albion. He also plays drums in a band most weekends, proving learning never stops and passions should not fade.
Curiosity, courage and opportunity
Will encourages pupils to try everything, embrace who they are and say yes to new experiences. He is passionate about developing wellbeing initiatives, including peer mentors and prefect roles that help older pupils support younger ones and strengthen the school’s caring culture.
