Reception marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Whether children have moved up from our on-site Pre-School or are joining Great Walstead for the first time, this year is all about building confidence, curiosity and joy in learning. Through play, exploration and new friendships, children thrive in a warm, nurturing environment.

The forest advantage: learning beyond walls
We have over 265 acres of incredible, varied grounds at Great Walstead with certain areas dedicated to Forest School. In the younger years we have weekly timetabled Forest School sessions. In addition, all our teachers can decide to take learning outside where this will enhance the learning experience.
