The Burbidge Fund

A few years ago, we were incredibly fortunate to be left a substantial legacy from a former pupil which enabled us to start a scholarship fund which we called The Burbidge Award.

To date, this fund has enabled 9 pupils to join us, who otherwise would not have access to Great Walstead School. As part of our centenary year, we are keen to grow this fund to allow others to benefit from what we have to offer. To do this we need to grow the current Burbidge Fund and for this reason are opening it up to anyone who would like to make a donation, however small or large.

These funds will be held in a restricted account and will only be used to support children who display our Great Walstead values but due to their financial position are unable to afford the fees.

Whether it's outdoors, on the stage, or in the classroom, our unique environment gives each child the space to thrive. We help every child to grow into a brilliant version of themselves.
