MARK LLOYD
DIRECTOR OF SPORT
Mark joined Great Walstead in 2019, bringing experience from both UK and international schools. Passionate about inspiring active, confident children, he believes sport should be joyful and inclusive. Mark provides opportunities for every pupil to discover their strengths and passions.
Sport for everyone
Mark wants every child to feel part of something exciting, from early swim strokes to competitive fixtures. He champions participation, teamwork and resilience, helping pupils build skills and confidence that last far beyond match day. His mission is simple: help every pupil find a sport they love.
Life on and off the pitch
Mark has played national league hockey and still picks up a stick when family life allows. He also enjoys walking his enthusiastic golden retriever through the school woods. Whether on a touchline or in nature, he loves seeing children active, happy and having fun.
Encouraging ambition and adventure
Mark encourages every pupil to take on challenges with enthusiasm, whether in sport, the arts or the classroom. He hopes pupils leave Great Walstead with confidence, resilience and a lifelong appreciation for movement and wellbeing.
