PUBLIC SPEAKING SUCCESS!

On Thursday 18th January the Great Walstead Public Speaking Team took part in the first round of the Rotary Club's “Youth Speaks” Public Speaking Competition 2007. The competition took place at Ardingly College. The Great Walstead team: Hannah Miall-Chairman, Oliver Pateman-Speaker and Hansy Shore-Vote of Thanks, chose the subject of “Peter Pan-Right or Wrong?” for their debate. It was a most enjoyable evening. The Great Walstead team put forward a persuasive argument and WON the competition. We are now through to the next round at Charterhouse School in February.
