Great Walstead has a well-equipped science lab, which enables us to cover the required syllabus for Common Entrance - and more!

We endeavour to include as much practical work as possible including the use of IT for data logging and simulations. From Year 5 the children are taught in the main science lab, from Nursery to Year 4 they are taught in their classrooms but also making good use of the extensive woodland in which the school is situated.

Many of our candidates achieve good scholarship results to schools such as Ardingly, Lancing, Hurstpierpoint, Westminster, Brighton and Eastbourne. We also enter science competitions and recently achieved success in the Bryanston challenge.
