Activities

At Great Walstead we believe that school is about more than what happens during lessons. The children here are given lots of opportunity outside the formal curriculum to pursue their interests and talents – whether in joining after school clubs or Wednesday activities, in our use of the woodland or through trips and outings. We also seek to instil in the children a sense of responsibility towards our own community at the school (through, for example, participating in the School Council) and towards the wider community outside the school through our charitable focus and giving. These pages give a flavour of the very busy life of the school beyond the curriculum.
