In 2017 36 scholarships to senior schools were awarded. A high number of scholarships in all areas.

100% success rate to first choice of senior school over the last few years. 

Recent Maths Challenge: Y5 groups came 3rd and 5th out of 40.


Gained 12 Sports Scholarships out of 50 pupils in year 8 including the prestigious Cowdrey sports scholarship to Tonbridge.

Won over 75% of our fixtures throughout the term.

Great Walstead host the IAPS National Badminton event and won the U13 Plate competition.

Great Walstead host largest regional Cross Country event winning the event against 15 other prep schools.

Finished 2nd in the Country in the IAPS U13 Football after becoming the South East Champions.

17 county, 5 regional and 1 national selections during the year.

1st XI Cricket, Colts A Cricket, U12A Rugby, 1st XI Football, U12 Girls Hockey all unbeaten seasons.

Head boy wins the National Bronze medal for 50m freestyle at the IAPs National Swimming finals.

Colts A Cricket wins the Pelican Cup for Cricket.


4 senior school scholarships gained for Drama, including a Millennium Award at Brighton for Drama, Dance and Music.

We saw a record number of pupils taking LAMDA exams, with all pupils achieving distinction or merit.

Pupils from Juniors, Middles and Senior involved in local productions of Hairspray and Shrek with leading roles, performed across the county

The introduction of an outdoors production, which sees the Year 7 pupils producing a WWI themed performance in our glorious woods!
